Welcome to Vimo.homes! Thank you for using our platform.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement (“Agreement”) between you and Vimo Pte. Ltd. (“Vimo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your access to and use of the Vimo.homes website, mobile application, and any other services offered by Vimo (collectively, the “Platform”).
1. Our Mission
Vimo.homes connects digital nomads, remote workers, and business travelers (“Tenants”) with professional property managers (“PMs”) offering flexible, fully managed residential properties for short to mid-term stays. Our mission is to simplify flexible living through a seamless booking experience, transparent pricing, and responsive support.
2. Using Vimo.homes
2.1 Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into legally binding contracts. By accessing or using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.
2.2 Identity Verification
To maintain trust and security, we may require you to verify your identity before booking, listing, or receiving payouts. This may include providing a government-issued ID, payment verification, or real-time identity checks.
2.3 Platform Access
Subject to compliance with these Terms, Vimo grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Platform for personal or business purposes in accordance with this Agreement.
3. User Roles and Responsibilities
3.1 Tenants
As a Tenant, you agree to:
- Provide accurate personal and payment information;
- Comply with house rules, local laws, and occupancy terms;
- Communicate respectfully and responsibly with PMs and Vimo support;
- Cover any damage or incident caused during your stay, either directly or via insurance/deposit.
3.2 Property Managers
As a PM, you agree to:
- List only legally permissible properties;
- Maintain safe, clean, and accurately described spaces;
- Honor confirmed reservations and manage check-ins professionally;
- Respond promptly to guest needs and platform communications;
- Ensure compliance with data privacy, housing, zoning, and taxation laws.
4. Bookings and Financial Terms
4.1 Booking Process
Bookings are confirmed when the Tenant completes payment and receives a confirmation email or in-app notification. The contract is between Tenant and PM; Vimo facilitates the transaction.
4.2 Payment Handling
Vimo or its payment service provider collects all booking fees on behalf of PMs. Funds are held until guest check-in is confirmed. PM payouts may be adjusted in cases of early checkout, disputes, or policy violations.
4.3 Fees
Vimo may charge a service fee to Tenants and/or PMs. All applicable fees will be displayed prior to booking confirmation.
4.4 Taxes
PMs are responsible for reporting and remitting any applicable taxes (e.g. VAT, tourist tax). Vimo may calculate and collect such taxes where required by law.
5. Cancellations, Modifications & Refunds
Cancellation policies are determined by PMs but must align with Vimo’s minimum refund standards. Vimo reserves the right to override PM terms in special cases, including guest safety, fraud, or platform abuse.
Refunds may be issued:
- If a cancellation occurs within a refundable period;
- If the property is materially misrepresented;
- If a verified issue (e.g. lack of cleanliness, utilities, access) occurs at check-in.
6. Damage, Disputes & Removals
6.1 Property Damage
Tenants are responsible for damages beyond normal wear and tear. PMs must report damages with evidence within 48 hours of checkout to claim reimbursement.
6.2 Misconduct & Eviction
If a Tenant violates house rules, breaks local laws, or engages in disruptive or abusive behavior:
- PMs can report the incident;
- Vimo may issue a warning, remove the guest, and/or withhold a refund;
- PM payout may be prorated depending on stay duration and severity of issue.
7. Content and License Terms
By submitting content (e.g. listings, messages, reviews), you grant Vimo a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, sublicensable license to use, display, and distribute such content to promote the Platform.
You must not:
- Post false, misleading, or defamatory content;
- Upload or link to viruses or malicious code;
- Infringe upon intellectual property or personal rights.
8. Account Termination
Vimo may suspend or permanently terminate your account if:
- You breach these Terms;
- You engage in fraud, abuse, or illegal conduct;
- Your account is inactive for more than 12 months;
- Legal obligations require us to do so.
You may delete your account at any time via your dashboard or by contacting support.
9. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law
We encourage users to resolve disputes directly. If a resolution cannot be reached:
- Vimo may offer mediation support;
- Disputes will be governed by the laws of [Insert Country];
- Users agree to resolve claims through binding arbitration, where permitted.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vimo is not liable for:
- Property conditions or safety issues;
- Conduct of PMs, Tenants, or third-party vendors;
- Lost profits, incidental or consequential damages.
Our total liability will not exceed the fees paid to Vimo in the 6 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
11. Modifications to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify users by email or on-platform notice. Your continued use of the Platform indicates acceptance of the revised Terms.
